Transfers to and From Georgia Up From July 2020

Georgia has received $208.4 million from abroad in July 2021 which is 10.4% more than the amount received in July 2020, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reports.
 
Overall, 94.3% of all money transfers came from 20 countries.
 
According to NBG statistics, the largest senders of remittances to Georgia in July 2021 were Russia ($40.11 million), Italy ($33.32 million) and the United States ($25.50 million).
 
As for the remittances from Georgia - overall, $26.7 million was transferred abroad in July 2021, which is more than the same period last year. In July 2020, this figure stood at $22.2 million.
