President Donald Trump has submitted the nomination of Kelly Degnan to serve as the next U.S. ambassador to Georgia.
Kelly Degnan is currently a political adviser to the U.S. Navy in Europe and Africa. She has 25 years of experience in diplomatic missions.
Degnan held leading diplomatic posts in Italy, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Turkey.
The post of the US Ambassador to Georgia has been vacant since March 2018. From 2015 to 2018, Ian Kelly served as US Ambassador to Georgia.
