The exports equaled USD 820.6 million (5.2 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 1 952.6 million (2.4 percent lower), - shows the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to Geostat, in January-March 2021 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 2 773.2 million, 0.3 percent lower to the same period of 2020.
The top trading partners were Turkey (USD 419.0 million), Russia (USD 329.8 million) and China (USD 292.6 million).
