“Mountain Resorts Development Company played a special role in the resort development. 31 new ropeways were arranged from 2012 up to date in 4 winter resorts, including 10 - in Gudauri, 8 – in Bakuriani, 1 – in Goderdzi, 11 – in Svaneti. In addition, another one is still arranged there”, - Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava declared.
As the minister notes, an artificial snowing system is already made in Gudauri and Bakuriani.
"Two artificial lakes are currently created in Bakuriani, which will supply water to the artificial snowing system. Many other, new infrastructures will allow the country to meet the 2023 championship well-prepared," said the Minister of Economy.
