The government of the United Kingdom has confirmed that from 4am Monday 11 October, Georgia and 46 countries and territories will be removed from its red list, making it easier for more people to travel abroad to a larger number of countries and territories.

Passengers returning to England from these destinations will no longer be required to enter hotel quarantine.

The UK’s red list will be reduced to 7 destinations: Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

Also from 4am Monday 11 October, Georgia together with 36 new countries and territories will be added to the list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination. “If you arrive in England before that date you must follow the rules for people who are not fully vaccinated. If you arrive after that, you can use a vaccine certificate to prove your vaccination status,” reports the government of the UK.

As for UK approved vaccines, the list includes: Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and Janssen.

The United Kingdom has cut Georgia from its ‘safe country’ list on August 8, following a sharp increase in coronavirus cases in the country.
