The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine claims that the average pension in the country has increased by 25% since the beginning of 2020.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the ministry’s Facebook page.
"As a result of a comprehensive program to increase pensions, the average pension in Ukraine has grown by almost 25% or UAH 784 since the beginning of 2020. So, as of January 1, 2020, the average pension was UAH 3,082.98 ($114), and as of August 1, 2021, it was UAH 3,866.84 ($143)," the report reads.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine plans to introduce social packages with funded pensions in 2023.
