Employees who have lost their job will receive GEL 200 compensation for 6 months. The decision was made by the Interagency Council and announced by the Prime Minister a few minutes ago.
"People who were formally employed, but lost their jobs, will receive 1,200 GEL in 6 months, in the amount of 200 GEL per month. The program will be resumed on January 1," said Giorgi Gakharia.
According to him, 125 thousand people have already benefited from this program, and they think that this figure will be maintained even now.
For information, 200 GEL assistance was received for 6 months by those who were unemployed due to the covid-19 pandemic and were left on unpaid leave.
The first wave of the program ends on December 1st.
