“Unfortunately, the cases when doctors and nurses did not receive the supplement paid during the pandemic were revealed. Moreover, we are talking about the amount that the State was disbursing for a specific purpose, and which, unfortunately, did not reach the beneficiaries," – stated Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Zurab Azarashvili.

According to Zurab Azarashvili, Labour Inspection, on a daily basis, attempts conducting of negotiations and reaching agreement with those clinics, that still have indebtedness towards doctors and nurses.

“Unfortunately, there were cases in some clinics, where director and deputies have increased salaries for themselves in 5-10 times at the expense of doctors, nurses and State,” Zurab Azarashvili said.

Zurab Azarashvili spoke about shifting back of COVID clinics to pre-pandemic situation.

Zurab Azarashvili stated that it is unclear why the afore-mentioned institutions are appealing to deadlines, as if they had only 5 days for shifting back to previous system.

“If someone committed a violation, their liability for violation will definitely arise. I am speaking about specific clinics. It is impossible and fundamentally unacceptable for the State to enrich specific clinics at the expense of citizens and budget, as well as enabling clinics to “earn "money” by doing so”, - stated Zurab Azarashvili.
