The state will allocate over 5 million GEL from the budget for 50% supplements of healthcare workers’ salaries.
As Giorgi Tsotskolauri, Deputy Minister of Health told BM.GE, the resolution on salary supplements for medical staff came into force on November 1.
According to Tsotskolauri, the group includes several categories of doctors and they will be given hourly wage, however the process will be transparent.
The Deputy Minister explained that the program budget will increase in proportion to the growth of number of beds.
"We had 3 million GEL for 3,000 beds. However, 5,000 beds are mobilized now and we must be in proportion to the part of budget increase. Accordingly, over 5 million GEL will be allocated from the budget for 50% supplements of healthcare workers’ salaries," he said.
