US Ambassador Kelly Degnan said she hoped the upcoming October 2 local race would be fair and fair elections.
“We hope that this election campaign, election environment will be focused on the issues explaining to voters what candidates will do to improve their daily lives and that political leaders will speak out strongly and clearly against intimidation, against attacks, against bullying on social media and will allow the campaign to proceed in a safe manner, including with appropriate COVID restrictions so that voters will come out and vote in an informed way. So I hope it will be a good free fair election,” US Ambassador claimed.
The local elections are scheduled for October 2 in Georgia.
