"Sanctions are one of the mechanisms. In any case, we prefer to resolve the dispute through dialogue," said US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, responding to PM Gharibashvili's statement in which he said that the US is a great friend of Georgia and the talk of sanctions by some individuals is speculation, and it directly serves the pro-Russian narrative.
"Most of what is happening now is Russian disinformation. We all have to be very careful about that. As I said, as the State Department spokesman said, sanctions are one of the mechanisms. In any case, we prefer to resolve the dispute through dialogue. This is what we are striving for. In many cases, it is the dialogue that resolves the dispute," Kelly Degnan said.
