The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili declares that in addition to healthcare workers, COVID-19 vaccine will be soon available to other groups of the population. Garibashvili declared that before the government session.
"The first batch of COVID-19 vaccine is already distributed in our country. We started vaccinations from healthcare workers. Soon vaccination will be available to other groups of the population as well," the PM said.
According to him, the issue of improving primary health care services will be discussed at the government meeting today.
"Up to 300 rural dispensaries will be equipped this year at the initiative of the Healthcare Minister. It will improve working conditions of medical staff and primary health care services, "- said Irakli Gharibashvili.
43,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine were distributed in the country on March 13. The COVID-19 vaccine is intended for medical staff in the first phase.
