During January-October of 2021 electricity production in Azerbaijan has increased by 7,2% or to 21, 245, 700, 000 kWh as compared to the same period of the previous year.
The volume of commercial electricity production amounted to 20,592.4 million kWh (an increase of 7.6%), INTERFAX Azerbaijan reports.
Moreover, Thermal Power Station in Azerbaijan produced 19,387.6 million kWh (an increase of 7.1%), hydroelectric power plants – 1,081,500, 000 kWh (an increase of 17.2%).
During the reporting period, wind power plants generated 75.6 million kWh (a decline of 6.3%), solar - 47.7 million kWh (an increase of 15.8%).
Overall, electricity production in Azerbaijan during 2020 declined by 1,1% to 25, 811,2 million kWh as compared to 2019.
