The Georgian government is calling on the private sector to move to remote work. Vice Prime Minister Maia Tskitishvili made the statement after the end of the Coordination Council.

"We have called on the public sector to move to remote work as much as possible. We have already called on the commercial sector, all employers, and I want to repeat this call today and ask everyone to do their best and work from home.

We also call on our fellow citizens over the age of 70 and those employees who have health problems and suffer from various chronic diseases, to take care of yourself as much as possible, and stay at home as much as possible, "- said Maia Tskitishvili.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the observance of these elementary rules is necessary for the healthcare and economic system's normal functioning.

"We will intensify control over the implementation of all established rules and, of course, if necessary, we will be forced to apply appropriate sanctions," - said Tskitishvili.
