In October 2019, the number of visitors to protected areas increased by 21% compared to the same period of the last year.
According to the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, as of 10 months of 2019, 1,130,400 tourists have visited the area, which is 7% increase higher comparing to the same period of 2018:
• 49% - Georgian
• 51% - foreigners
According to them, the number of foreign visitors increased by 14%.
In the first 10 months of 2019, most visitors visited:
• Kazbegi National Park
• Martvili Canyon
• Prometheus Cave
• Okatse Canyon
• Tbilisi National Park
