Visits from Russia Increased by 4.9% within 11M despite Putin’s Ban

As of November 2019, international visits from Georgia to Russia has made up 82,029 within the frame of Putin’s Ban, which is 10.9% lower comparing to the same period of 2018.

The report is released by the National Tourism Administration and as of the report, the number of tourist visits has totaled to 53,599, which is 24% lower comparing to 2018.

As of 11 months of 2019, the number of visitors from Russia during this period amounted to 1,406,255, which is + 4.9% more than in 2018. Including, the number of tourist visits amounted to 1,038,132, which is + 0.1% more comparing to 2018.

It should be noted, that tourists’ number increased by 10.3% in November, while the total growth is 6.3%.
As of November 2019, 670,122 international travelers visited Georgia, the figure is up by + 12% comparing to the same period of the last year.

According to the National Tourism Administration, the number of international visits made up 543,176, which is + 11.9% more comparing to 2018, while the number of tourist visits was 338,831, which is + 10.3% more comparing to 2018.

As of January-November 2019, the number of visits carried out by international travelers to Georgia has achieved the historic benchmark - 8,690,352, the increase is 7.2% comparing to the same period of the last year.

During the same period, the number of international visits was 7,191,042 (increase + 6.6%), while the number of tourist visits was 4,768,432 (increase + 6.3%).
