Vkusno i tochka, a Russian fast food chain based in former McDonald's restaurants, is looking into chances of entering Armenia, said the general director of the chain Oleg Paroyev.

'Vkusno i tochka is considering a possibility to sell a franchise and enter the market of CIS countries, as well as other foreign countries where McDonald's is not present. In the CIS they are Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan," Paroyev said.

General Director of the network explained that under the contract with McDonald's, Vkusno i tochka "can not operate in those countries where McDonald's is present.

According to McDonald's annual report for 2021, the corporation's brand is present in 119 countries.

Vkusno i tochka is present in 63 regions of the Russian Federation. The company is gradually reopening its enterprises all over the country. Currently more than 840 outlets of 850 McDonald's outlets are open. McDonald's closed their Russian stores in response to the Russian 'special military operation' in Ukraine.

Vkusno i tochka restaurants mostly occupy former McDonald's restaurants that were sold to business magnate and entrepreneur Aleksander Govor, who was a company licensee in Siberia, ARKA reports.
