Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze met with the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, yesterday.
The Minister provided the Ambassador with detailed information on the COVID-19 vaccine delivery. The meeting focused on the measures taken by the ministry to get the Covid-19 vaccine on time. Sides also analysed the current epidemiological situation.
“We are making every effort to get the vaccine for our population and each country faces certain difficulties in obtaining sufficient quantities of vaccines. Fortunately, companies introduce new vaccines gradually. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has just appeared, and we hope more vaccines will be available for Georgia, Bosnia, Moldova, Ukraine and countries that are doing everything to get enough coronavirus vaccine”, Kelly Degnan stated.
