Minister of Economy, Natia Turnava declares, that another lockdown is not planned in the country. According to her, the businesses will continue to operate and fight the pandemic by controlling safety rules and improving vaccination rates.

"Earlier this year, we decided to fight the pandemic without lockdown, by controlling safety rules and speeding up vaccinations. We are not planning any lockdown even now, we are sure we can speed up the vaccination. We are convinced that only in this way can we defeat the pandemic, and businesses must continue to operate.

We are facing the winter tourist season, which is facing a big challenge. We have an increase in the number of infections, but we do not plan to impose any restrictions. On the contrary, we will tighten safety rules, strengthen vaccinations, but businesses will work," Turnava said.
