Soso Pkhakadze, President of the Business Association of Georgian (BAG), the private sector believes that the relevant agencies should take concrete steps to strengthen the GEL exchange rate.
"GEL exchange rate and the processes developed around it are the most important problem for the business. This is confirmed in any research conducted by the Business Association of Georgian. I think that it does not need research to understand exactly how negatively depreciation of GEL impacts on the business and society in general.
We work very constructively with the relevant bodies and agencies to find a solution. There are certain steps that we think need to be taken. We consider that as a result of correct work in the constructive mode we will find a solution,” said Soso Pkhakadze.
