Finance Finister Lasha Kutsishvili declares that inflation processes will start to decline in several months, which should be close to the target from the next year.

Kutsishvili notes that the National Bank is using all tools not to create inflation expectations and return it to the targeted rate soon.

“In general, inflation is one of the side effects of the pandemic. We see inflationary processes not only in Georgia, but also worldwide, this figure breaks records everywhere, including Georgia. The highest inflation rate in the last 10 years is recorded in Europe, America and other countries. This is a process that will be transferred to the Georgian economy due to the external situation. However, we must assume that the inflation process will start to decrease in a few months and it should be closer to the target from next year. Today, there are all indications of this, so I can assume such a scenario," Lasha Khutsishvili said.

Inflation hit a record high for the last 10 years in Georgia, which stands at 12.8%.
