“We have 60-70 COVID patients in a day”, - Private Insurance Sector

Private insurance companies have been engaged in the managing of COVID-19 for more than a month. According to Nina Kobakhidze, founder of Global Benefits Georgia, private insurance companies serve a total of 600,000 customers, while Global Benefit Georgia itself has up to 20,000 policyholders.

"We have a total of 20 thousand insured persons. The turnout is quite high. On average, we have 60-70 COVID patients in a day. In addition, until the diagnosis is confirmed, patients ask lots of questions and our doctors give them qualified answers. It is noteworthy that a very small number of our patients need hospitalization,” said Kobakhidze.

However, Kobakhidze notes, that Global Benefits Georgia employs 78 family-doctors throughout Georgia and they are engaged in the management of COVID-19.
