“The government of Georgia and the parliament have a joint responsibility - to quickly overcome the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and ensure the development of the country in order to apply for EU membership in 2024”, said the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

Maia Tskitishvili hopes that the representatives of the opposition parties will realize the given responsibility by the voters and enter the parliamentary in the near future.

According to Tskitishvili, in order to become a full member of the European Union in 2024, it is necessary to bring the country physically closer to the European Union and to integrate our road infrastructure into the European transport network.

Eliminate the existing inequality in the level of infrastructure and create a solid foundation for further development, including the establishment of European-type local self-government.

Maia Tskitishvili noted that the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure had taken important steps in each direction in recent years, which was reflected in the 2020 report submitted a few days ago.
