Davit Songhulashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy declares, that the country needs 3 times more investment for double-digit economic growth.
"We need 2.5-3 times more investment to maintain the economic growth rate and ensure double-digit increase not just this year, but in the future as well.
I am ready to hold a wide discussion on this issue with the relevant ministries and agencies within the committee. 10-year plan includes all resources listed to reach the investment threshold that will ensure the process of economic growth," said Songhulashvili.
According to Geostat, Georgia received FDI of USD 728.4 million in the first three quarters of 2021, which is 3.2% more compared to the previous year.
