Former PM and the leader of political party For Georgia Giorgi Gakharia welcomes Georgia's decision to apply for European Union membership and offers maximum support to the government.

"We welcome the decision to apply for Georgia’s EU membership.

In order to ensure swift and effective process, it is important for the Government to follow-up with practical actions. We offer our firm support regarding this issue to the Government and urge all political actors from the Government as well as opposition to put aside the discussions on who contributed most, consolidate around the idea and effectively lead the process towards a logical conclusion.
