It is mandatory to wear a mask both indoors and outdoors - the decision was made by the Interagency Council of the Government.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Maia Tskitishvili, wearing a mask is the most effective way to protect ourselves from the coronavirus.

"The election process is characterized by very high mobility. In many settlements, we have to conduct a second round. We can expect an increase in the number of infected. We are still maintaining positive dynamics regarding the decrease in the growth of the infected. As you can see, we also have excellent statistics for recovery. Therefore, we should put effort into stopping the spread of the virus. It was decided that wearing a mask will be mandatory not only indoors but also in open spaces," said Maia Tskitishvili.

In case of violation, the sanction is 20 GEL.
