According to the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Deputy Prime Minister Maia Tskitishvili, the Government Coordinating Council is discussing what additional restrictions can be introduced to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

“The Council is discussing what additional measures and pinpoint restrictions could be introduced to combat the spread of the virus. These can be various events, for example, a restriction on movement in the evening or at night, on weekends, or any one day of the week, or in specific locations.

All these are pinpoint restrictions that will be used when the need arises, taking into account the epidemiological situation. These measures are a practice based on the knowledge that we see in neighboring and different countries of the world,” – said Maia Tskitishvili.

However, Georgian government already imposed restriction on wearing face mask in outdoor, as well as indoor spaces. Learning process will be continued in a remote mode and restaurants are closed at 22:00.
