Average monthly incomes down by 6.4% per household, by 4.4 per capita and amounted to 1,100 GEL and 321.4 GEL correspondingly in 2020, - show the preliminary data from the Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

According to Geostat, monthly income of families down by an average of 75 GEL. This decrease is mainly related to the decrease in wages.

Distribution of Average Income of 1,100 GEL by Sources:

• Wage – 526 GEL, share in the income – 47.8%;
• Pensions, Scholarships, Assistances – 258 GEL, share in the income – 23.4%;
• From Self-employment – 103 GEL, share in the income – 9.4%;
• Money Received as gift – 98 GEL, share in the income – 8.9%
• From Selling agricultural production – 63 GEL, share in the income – 5.7%;
• Remittances from abroad – 43 GEL, share in the income- 3.9%
• Property Income (leasing, interest on deposit, etc) – 11 GEL; share in the income – 1.0%.
