Minister of Finance Ivane Machavariani believes that the healthcare system does not have fundamental problems and manages COVID-19 quite effectively.
Ivane Machavariani states that the meetings with the representatives of the clinics serve to effectively manage epidemiological condition and notes, that a complex approach is necessary, which includes restrictions as well.
“When the matter concerns to such a high rate of infections and hospitalizations, no health care system can withstand it. A complex approach is necessary. On the one hand - measures that will reduce mobility and make it more controllable. The so-called point restrictions, as well as other will reduce numbers and become the condition manageable. On the other hand - medical and other types of resources must be redistributed optimally. We must optimally manage those patients who need to be admitted directly to intensive care units or hospitals”, the Minister explained.
