Starting November 9, a curfew came into effect in Tbilisi and other large cities between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. amid an uptick in coronavirus cases.
As delivery company Glovo told BM.GE, the company does not have any problem and over 13 000 couriers have already received a special permit. However, they suppose that the company will not be able to serve restaurant orders.
“The company sent the lists to the Ministry as we did during the previous lockdown. The Ministry confirmed that problems will not be created to the couriers. However, they did not restrict the number of the couriers as well. We do not have difficulties at this stage. We will bring products mostly from supermarkets and pharmacies between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m”, - Glovo notes.
As for the company Wolt, Natalia Khizanishvili, general manager of the company declares that they have already sent list of their couriers and the company is waiting for the permits. However, Wolt does not know which objects will use their delivery service.
