Insurance company Global Benefits Georgia has started registering those people, who want to get the COVID-19 vaccine voluntarily for a specific price.

Nina Kobakhidze, a member of the company's supervisory board, told Business Course that all insurance companies are responsible to make the vaccine available for their employees and beneficiaries if the distribution of commercial vaccine starts in Georgia.

Nina Kobakhidze refrains from answering the question of whether the cost of vaccination may be up to 250-300 GEL and notes that, it is too early to talk about it.

"It is too early to talk about pricing. We do not know when the distribution and administration of commercial COVID-19 vaccine will start”, she said and added, that it was unclear what could hamper the purchase of commercial COIVD-vaccine.

"From May 1, the vaccine will become so available in America that I often joke - we will be able to buy it from “Amazon” soon. It is unclear what can hamper us to purchase commercial COVID-vaccine. Actually, I think that vaccine will be available for a large number of people from late April or early May”, said Nina Kobakhidze.
