The Georgian government has announced the lifting of several coronavirus-related restrictions due to the decrease in daily infections. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated today that the infection curve is below 4%.

According to the government, all public transport will resume operations in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi starting February 8, as well as open markets.

Starting February 15 in-person studies will resume in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi.

Starting February 15 all food facilities, including restaurants will be able to provide their service only in open areas.

The coronavirus related restrictions in Georgia will stay effective on weekends despite gradual relaxation on the weekdays. However, the government leaves the curfew from 9 pm to 5 am and mountain resorts still remain closed.
