Who owns the Poti New Terminals, co-partner of APM in a new port project

APM Terminals plans to invest between $ 250 and $ 300 million in Poti port. According to the project, a new Bulk Cargo Terminal should be built near the existing berth. APM management says that their partner in this project will be a Georgian company Poti New Terminals (PNT). As it is known, the shareholders of the company are still operating in Poti and have a long-term lease of its fifth terminal.

The company is owned by Georgian and foreign businessmen, most of them have been in shipping business for over a decade. according web-site of the company, the director of consortium is Tamaz Chkhikvishvili and his foreign partners are - Giancarlo Spirito, Ladislav Halacka and Stanislav Kraslavski.

TAMAZ CHKHIKVISHVILI

GIANCARLO SPIRITO

In 2004, Mr. Spirito, in cooperation with his business partners, has founded the large scale company “Georgita”, specialized in importing Italian food and hygiene products. LADISLAV HALACKA
(Citizen of Czech Republic)

From November 02, 2006 to October 02, 2007, Mr. Halacka was a partner of "Prometko Georgia”- the managing (lessee) Company of 3rd and 4th terminals of port of Poti. From October 21, 2003 to November 09, 2006 he was the director of "Prometko Georgia”- the managing (lessee) Company of 3rd and 4th terminals of port of Poti. On December 22, 2004, Mr. Halacka, in cooperation with the Italian partner Mr. Giancarlo Spirito, founded LLC “Georgita 2005”- the Company specialized in importing European products to Georgia. From September 26, 2006 to now, Mr .Halacka is a founder and a director of LLC “Retro Club Triumph”. From 2005 to 2009 - he invested in HORECA industry and conducted first Czech beer festival in Tbilisi. From March 16, 2007 to now, he is the director of LLC “Babilon Georgia”. Under his leadership and participation, an investment (including personal financial resources) of more than $5 million was made in Georgia.

STANISLAV KRASLAVSKI
(Citizen of France)

Since 1996, He has been carrying out business activities in Georgia. Mr. Kraslavski was supporting independent Georgia with the export-import procedures of heavy industry products. -With ARES SRL Company, Mr. Kraslavski has implemented following activities in Georgia: From 1999 to 2001, made an investment in port of Poti, provided a rolling press for metal scarp recovery and installed a multipurpose port crane. The total investment reached 4 million USD. -From 2000 to 2005, ARES INTRNATIONAL SA together with METAL GEO SA implemented the rehabilitation project of Rustavi Metallurgical Factory; -Mr. Kraslavski signed the contract to deliver pump-compressor and casing pipes to Turkmenistan (contract for 330 million dollars with the government of Turkmenistan), Azerbaijan, Italy, and other countries. -In all projects implemented in Georgia, Mr. Stanislav Kraslavski hold a position of general manager in Italian companies. Under the leadership of above mentioned companies, the investment of 7 million USD has been made in Georgia.
