According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, the council supported giving booster doses to people over 50 years of age, as well as people of any age who have a chronic illness and people at high-risk jobs.
"The council discussed two main issues, these are the use of the so-called booster doses and also, the issue of vaccination of children. With regard to booster doses, the council endorsed the use of booster doses 6 months after the second vaccination, for persons over 50 years of age, as well as for persons of any age who have a chronic illness, and for high-risk occupations such as medical staff, as well as people living in closed facility, and persons employed there", - Gabunia said.
