According to the Georgian Mountain Resorts Development Company, the ropeways have been suspended due to the pandemic.
As BM.GE was told by the Mountain Resorts Development Company, despite the fact that the local tourism was officially opened on June 15, security regulations for the ropeways were still being developed.
"The ropeways represent a place of the gathering. So, safety standards must be observed here and the ropes must be equipped with the appropriate means. The Mountain Resorts Development Company has been working with the Ministry of healthcare , "said the Mountain Resorts Development Company.
According to them, the ropeways will be launched in Svaneti, Gudauri and Bakuriani soon, but the exact date will be known in a few days.
