Due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies stopped working in 2020, leaving up to 100,000 people without income. Due to this, the demand for vacancies where work continues despite the pandemic has increased.
Delivery service company "Wolt," says that with the increase in demand, it became necessary to add couriers, and quite a lot of people are interested in this position.
"Today, along with the experienced staff, people who have temporarily suspended their work due to the pandemic, including representatives of many cultural spheres, are also interested in the position of a courier," Natalia Khizanishvili, General Manager of Wolt, told bm.ge.
According to her, "Wolt" is ready to promote employment and gradually announce vacancies in various fields.
"The demand for this service is constantly growing, even though this field is relatively new in Georgia. Therefore, employment with us is growing in many areas. We have most vacancies in the couriers and customer support team. We have also activated a new direction - retail, or retail trade, which is actively growing. Also, we have vacancies called for the position of a partner courier," said Natalia Khizanishvili.
The so-called position of a partner courier means that any person, regardless of age and gender, can start working as a courier. He/she must have a bicycle or scooter.
