"Basisbank will serve customers even in VTB branches from today," the vice-president of the National Bank told TV-Program Business Morning.
However, Papuna Lezhava once again explained that the deal will affect only the private individuals’ loan, retail and deposit portfolios.
"From today, Basisbank will launch services even in the branches of VTB Bank and will be gradually transferred to Basisbank. The process will be as painless and without delays as possible.
As for details, when new cards will be made, etc. It would probably be better for the customer to apply to Basisbank and VTB Bank," he said.
Papuna Lezhava also spoke about the working process of the deal.
"In fact, the decision was made to transfer loan portfolio of 600 million and deposits of 500 million in Basisbank within two days. Of course, this was not an easy decision. All parties were actively involved, worked hard through nights and reached a deal," the NBG Vice-President said.
