At the 52nd Pride of Poland auction in Janow Podlaski, 14 horses were sold for the total amount of 1 598 000 euro. The highest prices at the auction – 450 000 euro each – were achieved by two horses from the Michalow stud: the bay stallion Equator and the gray mare Emandorissa. 16 Arabian horses were put up for this year’s Pride of Poland auction.
“I am happy with this result because I was afraid of the auction. It was reading tea leaves. EUR 1.6 million is a very good result, i.e. over PLN 7 million. The Michalow stud earned over a million euro today”, said Tomasz Chalimoniuk, president of the Polish Horse Racing Club – the main organizer of the event, after the auction, Polish News reports.
