One of the largest supermarket chains in Georgia - "2 Nabiji" has a new director. Archil Melikadze has held this position since November 2024. According to the business registry, Shota Giorgadze, who was the company's sole director before the change, remains in the position of director of "Ori Nabiji", however, Archil Melikadze took the post of general director.
Archil Melikadze was the Chief Risk and Financial Officer of Foresight Investment Group. He has 25 years of experience in leadership positions in various sectors, including banking, telecom, retail and business services, including the position of Deputy Director of Rustavi Metallurgical Plant.
"During his career, Archil has successfully implemented numerous privatization, corporate restructuring and business portfolio development projects.
Archil holds a master's degree in finance and economics from Columbia University (USA) and is also a doctor of physics from the Georgian Academy of Sciences," the Foresight Investment Group website reads.
"2 Nabiji" is one of the leaders in the Georgian FMCG market. According to the 2023 financial report, the chain was represented by 470 supermarkets across the country, and its annual sales increased by 27% to 1.1 billion GEL. The company's profit in 2023 amounted to 57 million GEL.
The shareholders of the supermarket chain are Gocha Tskitishvili; Giorgi Chkheidze and Kakha Bekauri, who own 33% of the shares of "2 Nabiji".
