A total of 211,484 international travellers visited Georgia in March, a 34.1% recovery from the pre-pandemic figure in 2019, -according to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).
The GNTA said the figure had come from 188,354 international visits made in the month, posting a 37.1% recovery for the same period of 2019, and a 236.9% increase over the same period of 2021. The tourism body also revealed the number of international travellers in March was a 266.3 % increase year-on-year.
Among the visits in the month, the number of entrances for tourism totalled 159,199 - a 48.5% recovery compared to 2019 and a 210.6 increase compared to last year - with 107,944 more visits than in March last year, the Administration said.
