In 2025, Georgian residents made 2.9 million trips abroad, a 3% increase compared to the previous year. Out of these, 2.2 million were classified as visits, a figure that remained almost unchanged year-over-year.
Of the total, 1.5 million were tourist-type trips, representing a 4% annual increase.
According to the latest data published by GeoStat, Georgian travelers most often visited Turkey to see friends or relatives or for shopping. The highest number of visits were to Turkey (836,000 visits) and the Russian Federation (367,000 visits).
Spending by Georgian visitors on international trips reached GEL 2.4 billion last year - 6% higher than in 2024. The average spending per trip increased by 6%, reaching GEL 1,069.
