In recent days, citizens have been periodically writing on social media that they want to get the flu vaccine, but it is not available. This applies to private clinics where citizens who are not at risk can be vaccinated. In this case, the average price of vaccination is 50-60 GEL.

The situation is different for at-risk groups for whom vaccinations are completely free, but as the head of the National Center for Disease Control said on November 2, referrals are low. "Influenza vaccinations have been carried out for more than two weeks, but the appeal is low," Amiran Gamkrelidze said. According to him, a total of 212,000 doses of vaccine have been imported into the country and distributed to all clinics that have a vaccination point.

In addition, the NCDC publishes information on the 2020-2021 seasonal flu vaccination, which discusses the risk and priority groups, which is a total of 30. "Seasonal flu vaccination is carried out at medical facilities providing immunization services throughout the country," the NCDC said.

According to the National Center for Disease Control, a seasonal flu vaccine made by Sanofi Pasteur has been purchased under the state program.

The country of manufacture is France. The brand name of the vaccine is VAXIGRIP TETRA.

The vaccine is in full compliance with the strain composition recommended by the World Health Organization.

The vaccine has four components:

A / Guangdong-Maonan / SWL1536 / 2019 (H1N1) pdm09 - Similar Strain
