Vaccination against Covid-19 in Georgia started on March 15. At the moment, immunization is possible with four vaccines: Sinopharm, Sinovac, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca. According to a study by the National Center for Disease Control, as of July 15, the country has administered 334,133 doses of vaccine, of which 126,739 citizens are fully vaccinated.
According to a study published by the National Center for Disease Control, based on data available for this period, the highest doses administered are in Tbilisi (202,904), Adjara (34,848) and Imereti (27,262).
The incidence of at least one dose and a fully vaccinated population varies with age. Leading in this regard are the 70-74 age group, followed by the 65-69 age group and the 75- and older age group.
In addition, 67% of those vaccinated in the country are women and 33% are men.
A total of 16,486 workers have been vaccinated as of July 15, most of them are doctors.
