Ia Tarkhan-Mouravi, sales and marketing manager of Mtatsminda Park, has evaluated last year and talked about the plans with BM.GE.
According to her, 2023 was a year of stability and they worked at full capacity. In addition, one of their spaces "Underwheel Club" was quite busy.
"70% of our guests were tourists, and 30% were local residents. China and Kazakhstan occupy the largest share among the international guests. After the pandemic, Georgian consumers became very active. Locals mostly visit us on weekends, while tourists prevail mostly on weekdays.
In 2023, we directed all resources to infrastructural renewal, including the part of the landscape. 2024 is a very important year for us, because after several years of waiting, the cable car connecting Rustaveli and Mtatsminda Park will be opened. We have been waiting for 10 or 12 years for the construction of the cable car. Construction has begun and 2024 is the opening date. We will probably open the "food court" together with the cable car," says Tarkhan-Mouravi.
According to her, in 2024, like last year, many festivals will be held on Mtatsminda.
