Sopho Chkhvimiani, Co-founder of Hotel "Shgedi" located on Mestia-Hatsvali road, evaluates current tourist season with BM.GE. According to her, 70% of the hotel is already booked for the summer. The active tourist season of "Shgedi" starts in late May and lasts until October.
"Since we cooperate with a travel agency, we mainly host tourist groups, in particular, from France, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, etc. There are also Georgians, but mostly we have international guests. We already have pre-bookings for summer. July, August, and September are booked by 70%”, - Chkhvimiani says.
According to her, a double room in the hotel costs 100 lari without meals, one hudnread fifty lari with breakfast, and one hudnread eighty lari with a two-course meal.
The co-founder of the hotel names the lack of tourism promotion activities among the challenges and notes, that such events significantly increase the hotels’ awareness.
Hotel "Shgedi" has been operating since twenty nineteen. The hotel has 23 rooms and can accommodate fifty five people. The hotel currenty employees seven people.
