The National Wine Agency reports, that the dynamics of Georgian wine exports are increasing.
"According to the data of 11M2022, 91.4 million liters of wine have been exported from Georgia. This volume already exceeds the record figure of 2021 - 80.5 million liters," the agency said.
In 10M2022, wine exports increased by 6.2% y-o-y. In particular, in January-October of this year, almost USD 201 million worth of wine was exported from Georgia.
Namely, exports of wine to Russia have increased. According to statistics, USD 129 million worth of wine was exported to Russia in 10 months, while this indicator was USD 106 million in the corresponding period last year. The increase is 21.6%. Also, Russia's share in the total exports of Georgian wine has grown to almost 65%. Last year, Georgia exported wine of record value, and Russia's share in total exports decreased to 57%. In the past years, Russia's share in wine exports was within 60%.
