A new 5-star hotel and casino will be built in the building of the former Ministry of Communications at Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. According to the Tbilisi Architecture Service, the preliminary agreement of the project has already been made and the corresponding consent has been issued.
The real estate is located on a land plot of 3,493 square meters, and the head office of Georgian Airways is located in the building currently standing on it. The owner of the real estate is LLC Marili 2020, which 100%-shareholder is the founding partner of Georgian Airways, Tamaz Gaiashvili.
According to the explanatory card, the building will be expanded in the direction of Lesya Ukrainka street and it will occupy the full space of the square-shaped land plot, for which the small building behind the former Ministry of Communications has already been dismantled.
The building will keep its historical appearance from the side of Rustaveli Avenue. In total, the building will have 10 floors, 3 of which will be underground, whichwill occupy 16,238 square meters.
A circular courtyard will be located in the middle of the new building. In addition to the casino, commercial spaces will also be located in the new complex.
