Alpha Architecture announces a new gastronomic space on the Mtkvari riverbank near the Dry Bridge in Tbilisi. The announcement concerns a project by "Cartu". The real estate on the Mtkvari riverbank where construction is planned has been owned by Bidzina Ivanishvili's association "Atu" since 2008.

According to the company, the project is a multifunctional gastronomic space that will combine international cuisines, dining venues, and leisure areas.

"We present our new project in Tbilisi, near the Dry Bridge, on the banks of the Mtkvari River.

The project is a multifunctional gastronomic space that will bring together cuisines from around the world, dining venues, and leisure areas.

The project aims to create a new destination in the heart of Tbilisi a meeting place where residents and visitors alike can enjoy diverse food, connect with one another, and take in views of the city.

The building’s architectural character draws inspiration from the river. Its boat-like form sits along the waterfront, distinguished by a sculptural roof, copper-toned surfaces, and transparent glass façades. The elongated structure follows the riverbank, while the roof’s flowing lines and inclined supports give the building a distinctive, dynamic appearance. Extensive glazing fills the interior with natural light and establishes a visual connection with the river, surrounding greenery, and cityscape.

Open terraces on different levels and a landscaped rooftop extend the dining and leisure spaces outdoors. Generous roof overhangs create sheltered outdoor areas, while the building’s open lower level lends the structure a sense of visual lightness and connects it with its surroundings.

The location near the Dry Bridge connects the project to a distinctive part of Tbilisi’s historic cultural and social landscape. The new gastronomic space aims to enrich everyday life along the waterfront, create opportunities for local restaurant businesses, and establish an additional focal point in the area.

The project brings together contemporary architecture, diverse cuisine, and urban social life a place where the setting and the experience of coming together are as important as the food itself",- the company wrote on social media.
