Lasha Shavdatuashvili won a gold medal at the World Judo Championship in Budapest.
In the decisive match of the 73 kg. weight category, the Georgian sportsman defeated the representative of Sweden, Tommy Macias.
Shavdatuashvili became the first Georgian judoka to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games, Europe, and World Championships.
