“The owner of the building rented it to a foreign citizen at a higher price. Accordingly, we were left without space,” Natia Jokharidze, founder of the Thai-based ice cream company “Buratino,” said on BMGTV’s “Women’s Narrative.”
As Jokharidze noted, the company “Buratino,” which has been on the market for three years and offers customers ice cream made using a Thai recipe, initially operated in Orbeliani Street, but recently, given the demand and economic situation, they had to find a new location.
“Due to the current events in the country affecting the number of tourists and local customers, we decided to look for another location in Batumi. We have added mini pancakes to the Batumi location, and we also have other innovations planned throughout the year,” Jokharidze said, noting that the Tbilisi market will be returned in the fall, although a specific location has not yet been selected.
She said that despite the company returning to Tbilisi, “Buratino” will continue to operate in Batumi.
